Dr. David Gruenberg is a native of Massachusetts. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Carleton College and received his MD from Tufts University School of Medicine in 2005. Following a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Vermont, he completed a fellowship in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology at the University of Wisconsin in 2010.
Dr. Gruenberg is board certified in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and in Internal Medicine. He enjoys seeing patients of all ages with asthma, allergic rhinitis, food allergy, sinusitis, bee sting allergy, drug allergy, skin disorders and immunodeficiency. He is especially passionate about asthma and allergy prevention.
Prior to joining Allergy and Asthma Specialists in August, 2016, Dr. Gruenberg has held staff positions in allergy/immunology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lahey Clinic, and Northeast Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. He has a strong interest in medical education and continues to be involved in teaching medical students and residents at Lowell CommunityHealth Center. He has published research articles and abstracts related to the immune effects of stress in patients with asthma.
When not practicing medicine, Dr. Gruenberg enjoys running, playing the piano, and spending time with his wife, son, daughter, and dog.
