World Asthma Day is May 2, 2017.

May is Allergy & Asthma Awareness Month

Over 22 million people living in the United States have asthma, a chronic lifelong disease that affects the lungs. Asthma can cause wheezing, breathlessness, chest tightness, and coughing. Although asthma cannot be cured, it is possible to manage asthma to reduce and prevent asthma attacks. In the United States, approximately half of people with asthma had at least one asthma attack in 2012.

A Note From Dr. Melamed

Dear Patients,

As you may have heard I will be relocating to Tampa at the end of November, but will not be retiring from medicine. It has been both a privilege and a pleasure to be able to provide care for our patients. I certainly will miss the long relationships that I have developed with patients some going back over 30 years. I am proud of the quality of care that the practice continues to offer that has been a hallmark of this practice since this was established by Dr. Farnham. I am confident that the practice will continue to thrive and flourish.  - Julian Melamed M.D.
