Dr. Li Liang is a native of P.R. China where he received BS degree and Bachelor of Medicine (MD equivalent) at Harbin Medical University in Harbin, P.R. China. He was on the Medical faculty member at Harbin Medical University before he came to the US to pursue his career in Immunology.
Dr. Liang received a Master of Science in Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Louisville, School of Medicine and then received a Ph.D. in Immunology at University of Connecticut Medical Center, Farmington, CT. In 1996 he returned to the University of Louisville, School of Medicine where he completed a three year residency in Pediatrics at Kosair Children's Hospital. He completed his Allergy and Immunology Fellowship at National Jewish Medical Center, Colorado in 2002.
Dr. Liang joined Allergy & Asthma Specialists, PC in 2002. He sees patients of all ages and is involved in clinical research. His interests include the management of severe asthma and food allergy. He has published over 20 basic and clinical abstracts, studies and papers. He was Chief of the Division of Allergy at Lowell General Hospital for 2009. Dr. Liang is on staff at Lowell General Hospital, Saints Medical Center, Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, Holy Family Hospital and St. Joseph Hospital.
Dr. Liang is board certified in Allergy and Clinical Immunology. He does participate in the Maintenance of Certification program in Allergy and Immunology. He is a Member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and a Member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Dr. Liang has been recently awarded the Top Doctor in Boston in 2010-2011.
Dr. Liang enjoys golfing and fishing in his spare time.
